Here
you will find our rules. Please read them, they are important and your
playing at Tech Brigade is dependent on you understanding them. Otherwise,
your safety, or that of others may be compromised. There are links to
other information pages here too.
- Electric
weapons, whether semi or full auto, will have a muzzle velocity
of no more that 328 feet per second (1 Joule). We allow a 7%
variation, BUT, that is a leeway to allow for atmospheric conditions,
not a blind eye to guns intentionally built to do 350.9 fps.
- Bolt
action and weapons will have a muzzle velocity of no more than
500 feet per second with a 0.2g bb.
- When
you are hit, Shout
"HIT" and raise your hand. You
will take your hits. End of story.
- Between
games, remove your magazines, and safely, clear your gun to
make sure there isn't "one up the spout".
- Dry
firing is not permitted in the safe zones. There may be a nearby
test firing range which you can use.
- We
insist that you wear eye protection at all times during games
and until we leave the playing area. For full face protection,
you should wear a mask. At the very least, you must wear safety
glasses. Under 18's are required to wear full face protection.
- Minimum
age is 17. We may accept players no younger than 14 years when
accompanied by a playing adult.
- All
players will listen to the briefings that will be given during
the day and will play in a sportsman like manner throughout
the event.
- If
you damage any hire equipment, we may retain any deposit. (If
you damage a loaned mask, we may retain your AEG hire deposit)
- Friendly
fire counts as do head shots. Ricochets don't.
- If your
weapon is hit while you are under cover because the weapon is
the only bit of you showing, the hit does not count.
If your weapon is hit while you are exposed or in the open,
the hit does count.
- Dead
players cannot talk until they have returned to the deadzone.

During
a skirmish, we sometimes take photographs and/or video footage. By attending
Tech Brigade, you are giving implicit permission for us to do this and
publish any resulting media. If this causes you real problems, please
let us know at the start of the day.
